On Sunday, for the first time in his entire football career – high school, college and NFL – Trevor Lawrence lost a regular season game.
Making his NFL regular season debut, the former Clemson quarterback and 2021 No. 1 overall draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars went 28-of-51 passing for 332 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions in the Jags’ 37-21 loss to the Houston Texans in Houston.
“It obviously sucks,” Lawrence said to reporters afterward. “Losing’s always hard, especially when you feel like you’re prepared and had a great week. Really think we were ready and just obviously didn’t play well.
