The Catamounts took an early 2-0 lead in the first and the Tigers cut it in half with a single run in the third on Chase Pinder’s RBI groundout. After Western Carolina extended their lead to 3-1 in the fourth inning before Clemson responded with a three-run fifth inning to take their first lead of the game on a Pinder RBI groundout, Eli White RBI single, and Chris Okey RBI double.
