Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence came into the 2019 season with expectations through the roof.
Analysts believed that Lawrence would set all kinds of collegiate records and never miss a beat on his way to potentially leading the Tigers to another National Championship and winning the Heisman Trophy.
Early in this season, however, Lawrence has struggled relative to expectations. Through the first six games, he has completed 62.7 percent of his passes for 1,301 yards and 11 touchdowns to six interceptions. It also should be noted that Lawrence has five rushing touchdowns.
He’s still on track to have a great season, but because he didn’t live up to the hype and narrative set forth for him, people have already written him off for the Heisman Trophy.
