CLEMSON — In just three games, Clemson defensive back Ronan Hanafin has already tripled his tackle total from last season, emerging as a persistent leader for the Clemson defense.
Hanafin knows this week’s opponent, Syracuse, presents a challenge through the air, but he is confident in his teams preparation.
Hanafin, who leads the Tigers with 30 tackles, credited defensive coordinator Tom Allen for putting the defense in positions to succeed, but stressed that the execution is on the players.
“Coach Allen does a great job setting us up,” the junior safety said.
Hanafin knows his team needs to focus on the details of every assignment, something they were not doing in last week’s loss to Georgia Tech.
