Georgia Tech ended its longstanding futility streak against Clemson on Saturday.
When Georgia Tech’s Aidan Birr’s 55-yard field goal sailed through the uprights as time expired to give the Yellow Jackets a 24-21 victory over the 12th-ranked Tigers at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia Tech finally snapped its losing streak against Clemson.
Georgia Tech earned its first over Clemson since 2014, snapping a nine-game losing streak to the Tigers. It marks Georgia Tech’s first win over Clemson since a 28-6 win in Atlanta on Nov. 15, 2014.
It had been Clemson’s longest winning streak in the all-time series.
