Georgetown Rallies Past Clemson to Hand Tigers First Loss of Season

Georgetown rallied from a first-half deficit to defeat Clemson, 79-74, on Saturday at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

The Hoyas improved to 4-0 while handing the Tigers (3-1) their first loss of the season.

Georgetown trailed by three points at halftime but outscored Clemson, 46-38, in the second half. Starting guard KJ Lewis led the Hoyas with 26 points, including 17 in the second half.

Clemson was only down 77-74 with 31.6 seconds left after a huge 3-pointer by forward Jake Wahlin. But Georgetown center Vince Iwuchukwu hit a clutch bucket with 14 seconds left to help the Hoyas close the game out.
