From Blackout to Knockout: Tigers dominate Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY – Louisville’s Blackout turned into a Clemson knockout.

No. 2 Clemson (3-0 overall, 1-0, ACC) overcame a sluggish start and rolled up over 600 yards of offense in routing No. 14 Louisville (2-1, 1-1) 47-21 Saturday night in Papa John’s Stadium. Clemson has won all four games against the Cardinals since Louisville joined the ACC in 2014.

Quarterback Kelly Bryant was impressive in his first road start. Bryant had a career-high 316 yards passing on 22-32 passing. He was 6-9 for 99 yards on third down after going 6-7 against Auburn. Bryant added 26 yards rushing and two scores for a career-high 342 yards of total offense.
