Former Tiger Waived by NFL Team

A former Clemson standout has been waived by this NFL team.

The Dallas Cowboys announced Wednesday they have waived cornerback Andrew Booth, just one day after he made the team’s initial 53-man roster.

Booth returned an interception for a touchdown in the Cowboys’ preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 16. If he clears waivers, he could potentially return to the Cowboys’ practice squad.

Booth was traded to the Cowboys in August of last year, then was released in November before signing to the practice squad shortly thereafter and later being promoted to the active roster.
