A former Clemson tight end found the end zone in Week 1 of the NFL season.
Davis Allen, now in his third season with the Los Angeles Rams, caught what turned out to be the game-winning, 13-yard touchdown pass from Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford on Sunday.
Allen’s touchdown with 12:28 left in the third quarter gave the Rams a 14-9 lead after the extra point, and that score would stand in their victory over the Houston Texans at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
It marked the third career NFL touchdown reception for Allen, who was drafted by the Rams in the fifth round (175th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft.
