A former Clemson standout is reportedly headed back to the NFL.
On Monday, former Tiger cornerback Mario Goodrich was released by the United Football League’s Birmingham Stallions to sign with an NFL team, and he is signing with the Denver Broncos, according to PFN’s James Larsen on Tuesday.
Goodrich dealt with an injury but played in seven games for the Stallions this year (six regular season, one postseason). Across those seven contests, the 6-foot, 191-pounder posted 17 total tackles (one for loss), six pass breakups and three forced fumbles
Goodrich signed with the Stallions in February after being waived by the New York Giants before the start of the 2024 NFL season.
