Former Tiger Reportedly Cut by NFL Team

A former Clemson standout has reportedly been cut by this NFL team.

According to multiple reports, the Denver Broncos have waived former Tiger cornerback Mario Goodrich to make room for signing linebacker Garret Wallow, who worked out with the team earlier this week.

Goodrich was previously released by the United Football League’s Birmingham Stallions so he could sign with an NFL team, and he signed with the Broncos back on June 18.

Goodrich dealt with an injury but played in seven games for the Stallions this year (six regular season, one postseason). Across those seven contests, the 6-foot, 191-pounder posted 17 total tackles (one for loss), six pass breakups and three forced fumbles

Goodrich signed with the Stallions in February after being waived by the New York Giants before the start of the 2024 NFL season.
