A former Clemson standout has already landed with another NFL team.
The New York Giants are signing former Tiger wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud to their practice squad, per multiple reports.
McCloud was released by the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday.
He was a healthy scratch for Atlanta’s last two games and was sent home ahead of the Falcons’ Week 7 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday that McCloud’s release was “performance-based” and was not disciplinary-related.
“Just gotta do what’s best for the team, every single week,” Morris said.
