A former Clemson cornerback has landed with another NFL team.
Mario Goodrich was claimed off waivers over the weekend by the New York Jets.
Goodrich was waived by the Denver Broncos on Aug. 1. He was previously released by the United Football League’s Birmingham Stallions so he could sign with an NFL team, and he signed with the Broncos back on June 18.
Goodrich dealt with an injury but played in seven games for the Stallions this year (six regular season, one postseason). Across those seven contests, the 6-foot, 191-pounder posted 17 total tackles (one for loss), six pass breakups and three forced fumbles.
