Former Tiger Gets Fresh Start with New MLB Team

A former Clemson standout has landed with a new Major League Baseball team.

Logan Davidson was claimed off waivers by the Houston Astros on Friday.

After being designated for assignment by the Athletics on Wednesday, Davidson will now get a fresh start in the Astros’ organization. Upon claiming Davidson, the Astros reassigned him to the minor leagues, optioning him to the Triple-A Sugar Land Space Cowboys.

Davidson was exclusively a shortstop at Clemson but has turned into a utility man in the professional ranks. He made his MLB debut with the Athletics on May 24.
