Former Tiger, Current NFL Player Doesn’t Hold Back

A former Clemson standout had plenty to say during and after the Tigers’ 35-24 loss to SMU on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Former Tiger defensive lineman DJ Reader, who currently plays for the Detroit Lions, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on Clemson’s disappointing season.

A longtime backup at defensive tackle, Reader found his way into the starting lineup as a senior en route to a lengthy NFL career. He finished his Clemson career with 145 tackles, nine tackles for loss, five sacks and 24 quarterback pressures over 46 games (10 starts) from 2012-15.
