Ray-Ray McCloud is on the move again.
The former Clemson wide receiver was released by the New York Giants on Wednesday, adding another stop to what has been a winding NFL journey for the veteran return specialist.
Brief stint with the Giants
McCloud joined the Giants’ practice squad on Oct. 23 after being released by the Atlanta Falcons two days earlier. He was elevated to the active roster and appeared in two games for New York, recording one catch for 5 yards against the San Francisco 49ers on Nov. 2.
His time in New York ends after less than two months, sending the 5-foot-9, 190-pound receiver and return man back into free agency as teams manage late-season roster shuffling.
