The Carolina Panthers have signed a former Clemson star.
The Panthers announced Tuesday they have signed former Tiger defender Isaiah Simmons to their practice squad, in a move to add depth at linebacker amid a number of injuries the team is dealing with at that position.
A former top-10 overall draft pick, Simmons signed with the Green Bay Packers in free agency this past offseason, before being released in late August as part of final roster cuts.
Simmons, who was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, played with Arizona from 2020-22 before spending the 2023 and 2024 seasons playing for the New York Giants.
