After missing the 2025 season, a former Clemson running back has found a new home.
Dismissed RB Marquise Henderson is headed to Samford, according to a social media post.
“Next chapter… all glory to god without him I am nothing,” Henderson posted. “(Drew Swinney) plus a great coaching staff never gave up me let’s work!!”
The in-state product from Belton Honea-Path, was dismissed from the football team back in the summer, after going through his first spring practice. He did not play in 2025.
“It just didn’t work out,” Swinney said in July. “There is a standard here, and it just didn’t work out.
