SPARTANBURG – Before Will Young went on to be an All-ACC offensive lineman at Clemson, he was a starter in the 1991 Shrine Bowl.
The Daniel product is now the head coach at Greer, where he’s been since 2005.
This week, he’s back in the Shrine Bowl as the offensive line coach for the South Carolina team. His starting left tackle and left guard, John Simpson and Cade Stewart, are both on Clemson’s recruiting radar.
Simpson continues to mull offers from Clemson, Florida and LSU, among others Stewart has yet to pick up an offer from the Tigers, but he could also score a spot as a walk-on or greyshirt.
