First Clemson Player Taken in 2025 NFL Draft

CLEMSON — Clemson had its first player selected in the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday.

Linebacker Barrett Carter was selected No. 119 overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the draft, which is being held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Carter’s fourth-round selection marked the first time since 2009, Clemson did not have a player selected in the first three rounds of an NFL Draft.

Carter has spent the last four years at Clemson, where he helped the Tigers win two ACC Championships and play in the College Football Playoff. He had a great college career, and now he is ready to go out and embrace the next journey in his football life.
