After seeing limited action while redshirting last season, David Eziomume is a player who could be primed to take a significant jump in his development in 2025.
With Phil Mafah having exhausted his eligibility, there should be opportunities for Eziomume to carve out a role for himself. Adam Randall, who moved to running back ahead of the playoff matchup against Texas, and true freshman Gideon Davidson are the other backs expected to play prominent roles.
Eziomume showed a lot of promise in the spring game, averaging more than six yards per carry. His biggest run was a 30-yard touchdown scamper that helped secure the victory for the offense.
