Dabo Swinney ‘Excited’ for His Son Getting New Coaching Gig

Clemson’s head coach is excited for his middle son – and his new coaching gig.

During his press conference on Monday, Clemson’s Dabo Swinney discussed Drew Swinney getting a coaching opportunity at FCS school Samford.

Drew is set to leave the Clemson program following this season and will be the new wide receivers coach at Samford under John Grass, who was named the program’s new head coach earlier this month. Grass has spent the last four seasons on Clemson’s staff.

“I’m excited for Drew,” Dabo said. “Just going to be a great next step for him.
