COVID-19 plays role as Tigers try to find replacement for Ross

Believe it or not, despite missing all the practice time and on-campus workouts for nearly three months now, the COVID-19 situation did do some good for the Clemson football program.

With Clemson losing star receiver Justyn Ross to a season-ending surgery to fix a congenital fusion he was born with, the pandemic allowed the Tigers’ young receivers to get some meeting time with their position coach that they might not have normally received.

Freshmen E.J. Williams and Ajou Ajou will both be counted on a little more than expected this coming season as Clemson tries to find a replacement for Ross.
