During ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday, Rece Davis, Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban and Desmond Howard weighed in on the changing landscape of college football.
On the topic of change in college football, when it comes to fast firings – nine FBS coaches have been fired since Week 1 – Herbstreit noted the pressure that’s on coaches to win and to win now.
It’s always been that way, but it does feel different now with NIL being such a big factor, Herbstreit says.
“It’s different because we’ve allowed NIL to become a big part of this, and the folks that put money into these programs help you go out and get players,” Herbstreit said.
