CLEMSON — Like they have done for several months now, Clemson made the plays it needed to in the key moments in Friday’s 10-2 walk-off victory over USC Upstate in Game 2 of the Clemson Regional at McWhorter Stadium.
With the game tied at two in the bottom of the fourth inning, Kylee Johnson launched a three-run home run to left field that gave the Tigers a three-run lead, a lead they did not relinquish the rest of the night. Marian Collins then hit a two-run double off the wall in right field that sparked a five-run fifth inning, which ended the game due to the NCAA’s eight-run mercy rule.
