CLEMSON – What’s that they say about there not being a clock in baseball?

With the clock about to strike midnight on Game 2, Clemson scored eight runs in the bottom of the ninth to shock Florida State, 9-8, to complete an Atlantic Coast Conference doubleheader sweep of the previously unbeaten Seminoles.

Jacob Hinderleider’s single to right-center scored Jimmy Obertop with the winner for No. 3 Clemson (21-2, 4-1).

Florida State had lashed five home runs and Jamie Arnold struck out nine in seven innings as the No. 7 Seminoles (19-2, 4-2 ACC) took an 8-1 lead into Clemson’s final at-bat.
