Does anyone remember the 2008 Clemson vs Alabama game that took place in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff to begin the season? I remember this game like it was yesterday.
The Tigers came into the game ranked number-nine in the nation with ACC Champion aspirations and National Title implications. Alabama was coming off of a rough year and started the season number-24 in the land, but quickly climbed the poll after that week.
The Crimson Tide defeated the Tigers 34-10 in a game that Nick Saban just completely took Tommy Bowden behind the woodshed. There was a ton of hype heading into this game (as you can see in the video below), but nothing came of it other than 4 million households seeing Clemson get their brains beat in by Alabama.
