Clemson has a golden (pardon the pun) opportunity to stake a spot in the top 10 and position itself for a run to the playoffs. In the way stands Notre Dame. While the current generation hasn't had to live with the Irish hype train the way those of us who might have grown up in the 60s, 70s, or 80s, there is no denying that playing the Irish remains a big deal.
