Clemson scored seven runs in the first inning on Saturday night at Mewborn Field in Atlanta, Ga., and never looked back in a 19-0 victory over Georgia Tech. The most runs Clemson scored in a game was 21 runs in 2020.
The game was called after the fifth-inning due to the eight-run mercy rule. The win allowed the Tigers to take a 2-0 lead in the three-game series and win their seventh consecutive series. They also clinched at least a share of third place in the ACC standings, and will be no worse than the No. 3 seed in next month’s ACC Tournament.
