Marian Collins doubled to right centerfield to plate Aby Vieira with the go-ahead run in the top of the sixth inning, as No. 19 Clemson rallied to to beat Georgia Tech, 8-2, Sunday at Mewborn Field in Atlanta, Ga. The come-from-behind win allowed the Tigers to complete their sweep of the Yellow Jackets in the three-game series.
Clemson (41-12, 19-5 ACC) trailed 2-0 heading into the sixth inning, but freshman Macey Cintron changed all of that with one swing of the bat. With one out and teammate Julia Knowler on first base after drawing a walk, Cintron unloaded on a 1-2 pitch from Tech starter Sophia Voyles to tie the game.
