CLEMSON—On a gloomy Sunday afternoon at Conklin Field, with fans dressed appropriately for the program’s pink game, No. 11 Clemson earned a much-needed conference victory and win, defeating sixth-ranked Notre Dame 13-9.
The win marks Clemson’s (4-4, 1-3 ACC) first ACC victory of the season and snaps a three-game losing streak for the Tigers.
Entering the matchup, Clemson sat at 0-3 in the ACC, while the Fighting Irish came in at 2-1 in ACC play. The win also improves Clemson’s record against Notre Dame to 2-3 in the four-year history of Clemson’s program.
Junior attacker Regan Byrne reached two career milestones during the game.
