Clemson has lost another defensive tackle.
The Clemson Insider has confirmed that redshirt freshman Champ Thompson is planning to enter the transfer portal. The news comes after projected starter Stephiylan Green also entered the portal. The team is also losing Peter Woods and DeMonte Capehart to the NFL Draft.
Thompson appeared in eight games as a reserve this season, with his most extensive action coming in the Pinstripe Bowl against Penn State, where he recorded his first career sack.
He finishes his two-year stint with the Tigers having registered six tackles, one sack and one pass breakup.
