CLEMSON — Clemson has lost one of its best coaches.

Clemson men’s basketball has lost strength and conditioning coach Preston Greene, who is now the new strength and conditioning director for men’s basketball at Duke. The Blue Devils announced Greene’s hiring earlier on Wednesday.

Brad Brownell brought Greene back to his program in 2023, and subsequently the program had one of its best two-year runs in school history. The Tigers won 51 games the last two years, including a program record 27 wins this past year, which earned them a second straight NCAA Tournament bid.

In his first year back with the program, Greene helped Clemson win 24 games and advance to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
