Clemson hoping to get starting PG back for Senior Day against Georgia Tech | The State

Clemson has dropped three consecutive games entering Saturday’s Senior Day matchup with Georgia Tech, but some much-needed help could be on the way for the Tigers.

Starting point guard Shelton Mitchell has missed the past two games with a head injury after suffering a blow to the head in an overtime loss to Florida State on Feb. 14, and Clemson has struggled without him.

But the junior could return to the lineup against the Yellow Jackets, according to Clemson coach Brad Brownell.

“We’re hopeful that he’s going to be able to practice today, and if he’s able to practice well and respond from practice and feel OK then he’ll have a chance to play tomorrow,” Brownell said during a news conference on Friday.
