SB Nation.com simulated an entire World Cup for CFB and had Clemson football winning the whole thing.
The publication used several metrics, including S&P stats and a randomizer, to determine winners.

Clemson was placed in a group with Memphis, Louisville, and Penn State.
According to the stats, the Tigers beat Louisville and Penn State, but lost to Memphis. They still won the Group, though, and moved on to the knockout stage of 16 teams.
