Three Clemson Football defensive players were named to the 2023 Bronko Nagurski Award preseason watchlist.
Barrett Carter, Tyler Davis & Jeremiah Trotter are among the 94 defensive players who have been added to the watchlist. Players from all FBS conferences are represented.
The trophy is awarded annually to the best defensive college football player. The Football Writer’s Association of America vote on the winner. The award is presented in conjunction with the Charlotte Touchdown Club.
The trophy was first bestowed in 1993. Since then, there has been one winner from Clemson: Da’Quan Bowers in 2010.
