Clemson Football: Pop Culture when Dabo Swinney was named head coach

Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney took over as the leader of the program more than a decade ago and things have changed quite a bit since then.

Swinney, who had gotten back into coaching after a successful run in real-estate, was named the interim head coach following the resignation of Tommy Bowden.

That ‘interim tag’ officially came off of Dabo Swinney on December 1, 2008 as he was introduced as the Tigers’ new Head Coach.
