Derion Kendrick impressed the Clemson football coaches immensely this past spring when he moved from wide receiver over to cornerback and caught on naturally.
Kendrick was listed as the starter on Clemson football post-spring depth chart at cornerback and came into fall camp looking to put the finishing touches on earning a starting spot. Unfortunately for Kendrick and the entire Clemson football program, he has been dealing with a lingering injury.
In addition to being banged up, Kendrick suffered a tragic loss last week when a former high school teammate was killed in a car accident, our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all involved.
