GREENVILLE – Clemson lost to Alabama on Sunday night at The Well, 51-50.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 5-3 on the season while the Tide improved to 6-2.
Alabama was in the midst of a 1 for 13 shooting slump when Donte Grantham’s inbound pass in front of the bench was stolen by Shannon Hale with 29.1 seconds to play. His fast-break dunk gave the Tide a 51-50 lead.
Clemson went up 50-49 when Grantham knocked down a 3-pointer almost two minutes earlier. The bucket gave the Tigers their first lead since they were up 5-3 with 17:52 to play in the first half.
