ESPN’s lead College Football Playoff insider assessed how the CFP selection committee could stack the top teams in the country after Week 2 of the season.
ESPN’s Heather Dinich updated where things currently stand in the 12-team playoff picture and gave her latest prediction of the selection committee’s top 12, if that ranking came out today.
Following Clemson’s 17-10 loss to LSU in Week 1, Clemson was No. 12 in Dinich’s projection of the CFP top 12.
Now, after Clemson’s struggles during Saturday’s 27-16 win over Troy at Death Valley, the Tigers dropped entirely out of Dinich’s new CFP top 12 projection – which negatively impacts LSU’s resume while also helping Ohio State, as she pointed out.
