Erik Bakich is already busy making moves in the transfer portal.
The Clemson Insider had confirmed that former App State shortstop Tyler Lichtenberger is the latest addition after visiting Clemson on Thursday.
“I loved it,” he told The Clemson Insider.
Lichtenberger had a breakout 2025 season for the Mountaineers, earning Sunbelt Freshman of the Year honors. He hit .341, with three homers, 13 doubles, two triples and 44 RBI. He reached safely in the first 34 games he played this season, reaching safely in 46 of his 52 regular-season games.
Lichtenberger led the team with 24 multi-hit games and finished inside the Top 10 in the Sunbelt in batting average and hits (70).
