Clemson Assistant Gets New Opportunity

CLEMSON — The Clemson Insider has confirmed that one Clemson staffer is leaving the program for a new job.

Senior offensive assistant coach John Grass is expected to be named the new head coach at Samford, TCI was told.

Grass is also an assistant quarterbacks coach under head coach Dabo Swinney.

According to what TCI was told, Grass possibly could take some staff members with him. One of those staffers could possibly be safeties coach Mickey Conn who we do not expect to return to Clemson.

As we reported earlier this week, some Clemson assistants were possibly going to leave on their own merit for new jobs and new opportunities.
