Clemson Adds to Growing Lead

CLEMSON – The Clemson Tigers extended an already-certain lead 31-0 over the Furman Paladins with a six-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Christopher Vizzina to tight end Christian Bentancur at Memorial Stadium.

The touchdown was Vizzina’s first of the night after senior starter Cade Klubnik checked out of his last home game as a Tiger.

The short drive started when Clemson linebacker Sammy Brown intercepted a Paladins’ pass, putting the Tigers (5-5, 4-4 ACC) at Furman’s 22-yard line to start the drive. Vizzina opened the drive by finding freshman running back Gideon Davidson for a nine-yard pass. Davidson then got the ball again for a seven-yard carry to the Paladins’ six-yard line.
