It did not take long for Clemson to get on the board as Grayson Byrd knocked the first pitch he saw over the center field fence for a two-run home run.
Sam Hall and Logan Davidson drew back-to-back walks to lead off the inning but Hall was caught stealing before Byrd’s home run. The Tigers lead the Gamecocks 2-0 going into the second inning.
