CHARLOTTE — Last year, Jeff Brohm did something at Louisville that had never been done before. Beat Clemson.
The Tigers had won the first eight games of the series after the Cardinals began ACC play in 2014, but last season’s 33-21 win over the Tigers, and on their home field no less, exposed some weaknesses with the Clemson run defense, with Louisville racking up more than 200 yards on the ground.
It was an issue the staff could never get corrected, with South Carolina, SMU, Texas and even The Citadel finding tons of success running the ball against the Tigers down the stretch.
