Paul Tyson, a class of 2019 quarterback from Hewitt-Trussville High in Trussville, Ala., has gotten a lot of attention as the great-grandson of legendary Alabama coach Bear Bryant.
He’s also getting attention from college programs, and not just because of who his ancestor is.
Tyson has a good arm and at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, the size to be a Divison I quarterback. Before transferring to Hewitt-Trussville, he threw for 1,110 yards and nine touchdowns through seven games as a sophomore at Mountain Brook (Ala.).
Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, Kentucky, North Carolina and Notre Dame are all showing interest early in Tyson’s recruiting process, he told The Clemson Insider.
