CLEMSON – Down by seven late in the game, Clemson drove to the LSU 15-yard line before the comeback bid fell short when Clemson was stopped on downs with less than a minute left.
Garrett Nussmeier’s 8-yard touchdown pass to Trey’Dez Green with 12:18 to play ended up being the difference in LSU’s 17-10 victory over Clemson at Memorial Stadium.
The loss was Clemson’s third straight to open a season, while LSU snapped its five-game losing streak to open a season.
