The Tigers landed a third commitment in as many days on Tuesday, as two-way in-state talent Griffin McKain (Fort Mill) announced a verbal pledge to Clemson. McKain was at one time committed to rival South Carolina.
The 6-foot-3 OF/1B and LHP gets a grade of 9.5 at Perfect Game and is fresh off a weekend visit to campus.
Last season, McKain hit .421 with one home run and 16 RBI. He had a .596 slugging percentage and 1.115 OPS. He also threw 29 2/3 innings with a 5-0 record, 3.
