Bad News on Starting Running Back

During his radio show Monday night, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an unfortunate injury update on the Tigers’ starting running back.

Gideon Davidson was hobbled midway through the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 36-24 win at Florida State, as he limped off the field after a third-and-1 rush.

Swinney said on his radio show that Davidson will be out “probably a week for sure, maybe two” due to a sprained ankle.

“He sprained his ankle,” Swinney said of Davidson. “Fortunately, it’s a low grade, but he’s going to be kind of day-to-day.

“But probably out, probably a week for sure, maybe two.
