Another Former Tiger Waived by NFL Team

Another former Clemson standout has been waived by an NFL team ahead of Tuesday’s roster cut deadline.

The Cleveland Browns announced Sunday they have waived 17 players, including former Tiger defensive end K.J. Henry.

The Browns had claimed Henry off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles on July 23. NFL teams must trim their rosters down to 53 players by Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.

Henry was originally drafted by the Washington Commanders in the fifth round (No. 137 overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft.

After stints with the Commanders (2023), Cincinnati Bengals (2024) and Dallas Cowboys (2024), Henry signed to the Eagles’ practice squad last November and earned a championship ring with the Eagles’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
